Ahh, and the "typical" conservative response is...? How 'bout help yourselves, and screw the other guy?

Now I don't think that's true, just as I don't think your view of all Liberals is true. But I'm so tired of hearing your rhetoric gix. Not all Liberals are wrong and/or evil, just like all conservatives are not all wrong and/or evil.

The minimum wage helps the little guy. Does it hurt small businesses, yea it does, no doubt about it. But it also helps the little guy. Here in Missouri 82% of the voters, voted for a raise in the minimum.

Gix, whether I'm a big Lib or not, you are usually the want to begin to start this crap with picking sides. Have you ever come with a solution, or do you always mimic what Rush said during the week?

no it doesn't......... IT hurts the little guy. We are teaching the little guy to not strive and acheive anything in there life because the government will take care of them...........

Libbs use rush evertime when they know they dont have an argument. Personally i dont listen to RUSH. He is pompos and egotistical and i really dont like people that are that way.

So this is the second post in a row you are wrong.............. You want to make it a third

Sure, I'll go for the hat trick. First, your wrong, it does hurt the little guy. Before you teach a man to fish, you have to feed him. This will help people now, not later. Some people through bad luck, stupidity and many, many other factors might never "strive and acheive anything." Don't believe me, tell me why so many adults are working for minimum wage now.

Second, whether you listen to him or not, you parrot Rush. Which I agree makes you a lot like him, "pompos and egotistical"...good call.

Third, I make it the second post you got wrong.

Here's your post, and my reply, from another thread. It shows two things, first you don't know a thing about people getting minimum wage; second that you argue from a position of ignorance. Link to gix's original post about minimum wage.

Minimum Wage Resources

"I'm so sick of hearing that the minimum wage is about teenagers and high school kids," she said. "It's people who are working, raising kids, it's single parents.

- John Sweeney, AFL-CIO

Heritage Research

The facts show otherwise

Did you really read your "facts" through, gix?

* Average household income of a minimum wage earner: $49,885

The current minimum wage earner makes $10712/yr. So you're saying that someone else, or other people in the house, combine to bring in $39,173/yr or over $18.83/hr? In Missouri, where the median income for a family is $45K a year, your "fact" is simply wrong. I'd also refer you to this site, Median Income info, go about a two-thirds down the page, where it states that the "Median income for ALL households is $46,326.

* Proportion of minimum wage earners under 25: 53 percent

Then that means 47% are over 25, ergo they're by definition not "teenagers or high schooler's" as reference in the quote you try to slam above. EDIT: Also, "teenagers and High schoolers" are under 19, or under 18, not under 25.
