Small business's who can't pay their employees minimum wage should employee your own relatives and family members to run a small family owned business, untill the buisness grows lagre enough and becomes productive enough to hire more employees at the current minimum wage.

Ahhh.....such a blanket statemen coming from AYFR. Sm. Business's who can't afford to pay the minimu wage, need to do one or four things; Work their business 1.) themselves or 2.) hire "Friends" or 3.) Family Members, or 4.) Relatives to work their business, instead of hiring workings of whom they cannot afford to a minimum wage.

Why can't these small Conservative run Business work/exploit themselves, their familiy members, friends, and relatives like old MULES first before you strike out on your egotiscal plans to exploite people you don't even know.

Do you realize what it takes to grow a small business? Do you know what the start up costs are? Do you realize there is little or no financial help to get a small business going? With the raise of minimum wage, fewer people will be able to afford the start up costs. Since small business is what grows the economy and does most of the hiring, your screwing the unemployed/underployed with an unnatural wage hike.

This is why small business owners should grow from within the structure and foundation of working the business by themesleves, with family and relatives b/c of all the risk and expense of starting and maintaining a small business.

So you support growing the economy at the expense of exploiting workers!!!

No, I don't think I am exploiting my workers. I have given more raises in the last year than most would receive in five years. Why? Because they helped grow my business. Most of my employees make more than I bring home. Why? Because I put the money back into my business, so that they can continue to have employment. Several of my employees are unhirable in the corporate world. Would you see them on the unemployment line, or would you prefer they just sit back and draw welfare?
