What's wrong with that? The world standard is the dollar. It makes sense to not place all one's eggs in one basket.

Gosh, I thought the Democrats were the big spenders?

A Neo Con spending spree? Looks to me like they've just taken too many lessons from the Democrats. Let's just fire all of them and demand our money back.. okay?

>>>The next time the Republicans have a BUDGET SURPLUS, you can say they've taken lessons from the Democrats.

Facts are facts and part of the reason (most was the war) why the voters turned things around this time is the 'pork barrel heaven' that these guys have created for themselves since 2000. What else is there to say, politicians are greedy bastards and this set of guys didn't even follow their own rules/promises of smaller government. Smaller government seems to have become an oxymoron for all politicians quite honestly.
Will it get better now? I honestly don't know.

I don't know how it will get better. This bunch (both sides) have been pretty honest concerning what they're about.

I have said this many times before that the reason the Republicans lost out in the last elections is that they lost their fiscal conservativism. They started spending like mad men and the Republican base saw this and rebelled. Others will tell you it is the war but for me it was the loss of the vision as to what it is to be a Repbulican.
