Am I the only one who noticed?

In a statement made this past day or so, Bush was stating that he wanted some kind of small business tax break tied in with the minimum wage increase. He said something to the effect that the rise in minimum wage would have a negative affect on small businesses and small businesses were responsible for the majority of the jobs created.

It seems to me that he is unwittingly agreeing with the opposition position that most of the jobs created under his administration were low-wage jobs. Brilliant!

Every time business is forced to pay more than what an employee is worth, worthwhile employees earn less.

LOL! Why is there a perception that republican economic policies create low wage jobs and democrat policies high-wage jobs? It is tedious.

Skinny, I did not claim Dem policies create high wage jobs and Rex or should I say Scrooge, your belief that anyone is not worth a minimum wage is terrible.

Business is forced to pay more than what an employee is worth??? How exactly does that go down? I am a businessman and I just haven't seen that happen.

Merry X-mas to you too. My point was that people are worth than a minimum wage. No one should be able to survive on such a low wage. A minimum wage is a stepping stone to a higher wage. Those (the 'poor') who want a higher minimum wage are typically those who have absolutely no marketable skills and won't bother to obtain any.
