Lets start with fixing what we know to be wrong now. Or we will spend all our time blaming each other and get nothing done. I suggest you live in the now and use history as guide to ensure we don't continue making the same mistakes as many of our public servants have in the past. Things in this country have really gone downhill and we need to put our heads together and unite or the monied and powerful one percent of this country that do not have our interests at heart will do it to us...and it won't be pretty, we are seeing it already
weve been " seeing it " since the dawn of time. why would the powerfull allow themselves to be relagated to a back seat? i dont have all the answers. im thinking it either must be quick and deadly, or secretive and stealthy. BUT, when a group flies jets into civilian targets, then its beyond war. had they only targetted the white house and the pentagon, without using civilians as colatiral damages, then that would have been JUST war. it goes way far beyond that now. we need to not only kill them, but all their relatives too. from grandpappy rughead, to baby abdull.

Sort of like carpet bomb whole regions? I know when and where I was when Bush was on T.V. saying we were going into Iraq..I remmember thinking why Iraq when its Osama Bin ladin in afghistan and the taliban who was responsible for this? I didn't know much about the middle east and still don't but I thought Our government with all their degrees and experience would be telling it like it is, after all they would know much better than I would and I was still really, really mad and violated that anyone would do such atrocities to the country I love so much. I am still angry when I think of 9\11

But Killing millions of people in various middle eastern countries who had nothing to do with 9\11 is just not moral and its wrong too. Now tell me do you want to kill all the saudis too? Do you just hate muslims in general? This war is conveluded as Im sure history will reveal. I think as time passes we will look back and put the peices together better than we can now. In the meantime we are spending over a trillion dollars in iraq that is needed here at home very badly and bad laws have been written and passed for the bennifit of the wealthy. No bid contracts given to buddies and huge abuses in defense spending with no accountability. I think we should not be distracted by party affiliations because tthis our country and we are Americans first..so lets look after each other..because no one else will

the die was cast when no responce was forthcomming from, yeah here we go AGAIN, billy boy after the tansania and kenya embassies were bombed. the only things these asshole know is to fight fire with fire. its about time we raze their villes like they want to do to us. its the only responce they know of. ive talked to some pakistanies and they agree. if every bombers family now and in the past were completely removed from this planet, then theyd stop. them knowing mom and sisters will be okay after they go the allah, gives them comfort.

There has got to be a better way of dealing with terrorists than just killing everyone thats muslum. Most muslums aren't terrorists. They are people like you and me who want peace as much as we do. Its the leaders and politicians of countries who have agendas that put fear into the hearts of their citizens that breed this kind of hatred between other wise peaceful folks. The more we fight each other the more we hate each other for killing our loved ones and the hate grows and grows deeper and deeper. I believe we have to always defend our selves and do what ever it takes but its time to use our brains and try and find other solutions to stop the circle of hate. it will take generations to forgive those who have hurt us and it will take generations for the innocent Iraqis we have hurt in this war to forgive us but it will happen if we keep our cool and use our brains instead of letting a few thousand nut jobs make enimes of all of us. lets find out honestly why there is so much hostility and adress it with as little hostility as we can to avoid more causualties from all sides. This does not mean let our gaurd down or lessen our military. It just means might is not always the answer, sometimes it means rising above our indignity so we can reason well for solutions that benifit everyone. Sort of like when a family starts yelling at each other and its getting crazy, some one finally yells Quiet and every one stops for a second and wonders what the hell is going on and how did it get so crazy. then cooler heads prevail and everyone sits down still not happy but is now ready to listen to each other. I think we are in the crazy phase....

You keep wishing we were still in the 90s when you had Clinton to kick around while everyone enjoyed a booming economy, the highest levels of employment before and since, a sky rocketing NASDAQ, and rising wages. Even with a dramatic fall, the NASDAQ was still higher at the end of Clinton's term.

Looking at this graphic from the NY Times on the cost of drill ships and the number of orders and then looking at the forecasts for oil price, and also considering the deep water leases granted during the Clinton term, it is clear that the big oil companies weren't really determined to develop oil in deep water. Otherwise with all the deep water leases they had, they would have been ordering new drill ships to get at those leases Clinton granted them with royalties set at zero no matter the arket price.

And it wasn't like they didn't have billions of dollars to spend because Exxon was buying back its stock and others were buying other oil companies. And note that the years rental prices shot up, no ships were ordered.

No, while Clinton gave them some scapes with those oil leases they could bank, Clinton didn't start any important wars to drive up prices. Worse, Clinton created the conditions of desperate need for cash in the kingdom, that the House of Saud was forced to drive the price down to levels that sucked even the illusion of profit out of oil.

Damn that Clinton....
