Bush-McCain tax cuts vs economic growth
So, who thinks the Bush-McCain tax cut record on the economy is a winning issue?
Does the question, "Are you better off today than you were eight years ago?" make the case for the Bush-McCain tax cut, and for electing McCain?
And what are the metrics you point to when saying, "things are better/worse today than eight years ago because...."?

what i think is, with you not realizing that the " algore bandwagon " has been effectively driven over the cliff, you are attempting to tie McCain with bush. yes, they are both liberal to the core, but the repubs were attempting to appease the idiots. in so doing, they made nobody happy, not even the screwballs who would love for this land to be a socialist republic.

Tax cuts really have no impact on things when you are falling behind with no COLAs and prices increasing.

You should probably actually look at McCain's record before making such stupid comments.
McCain was one of two Republican senators to vote against a $1.35 trillion tax cut that Bush proposed in 2001. McCain also voted against similar plans in 2003, as well as a proposed repeal of the federal estate tax. McCain said they disproportionately benefited the wealthy.

Lots of middle class workers have gotten the highest tax cut possible - they lost their job and that really cut their taxes a lot, but I'd say every one of them would rather be paying taxes at their old middle class job.

But he's flip flopped and is now calling for more tax cuts than Bush called for. He has embraced Cheney's "deficits don't matter" and has planned a trillion more deficit than Obama's budget plans, making Obama the balanced budget hawk relative to McCain.

It's strange, Bush-Cheney is hated by Liberal Democrats, yet Liberals want to give them more money and more control over their lives. Hmmmmmmmm

Still having trouble with that pesky logic thing aren't ya?
The Cheney Cabal has overseen the largest expansion of government in decades. You know... the guys who claim to be for smaller government and less taxes? Oh wait... you must mean less taxes for .1 precent of the population... Good one!

While Kucinich wants to impeach them, my wish is for Obama to appoint Bill Clinton to run a special prosecutor's office seeking to imprison as many of the Bush-Cheney government as possible. Give the scope, I figure a ten year charter with a budget twice as large as Ken Starr's.
I don't want Bush and Cheney to have any freedom at all beyond that provided in a SuperMax prison cell.
