Has anyone really said this isn't happening around the US? You'd have to be a pretty big idiot to ignore the fact that foreclosures are up. The difference is that some see it as a simple "Bush did it" while others see there is far more to it than some simplistic partisan

.
As to the story, did you read the ENTIRE article or just jump on the "Bush did it" bandwagon?
"...more than it has received in the same period since at least 1999..."
Now lets see. Since at least 1999...hmmmmmm...now who was president in 1999? No, it wasn't Bush. Now what was that fellers name? Oh yeah, Democrat Bill Clinton.
So it would seem there were evictions during that period too. Which would mean evictions aren't some new thing. Imagine that!
"The problems, she said, began about a year ago when the ESTRANGED FATHER of her children lost his job at a mortgage company and STOPPED PAYING regular child support."
So by your reasoning, Bush is also responsible for dead-beat dads. Surely thats a new thing too. And you have nothing to say about the dead-beat. He has no responsibility in any of this, right?
"She said she would find work soon and so would her boyfriend...".
You don't see a problem with that one either? Of course not. I mean really, c'mon now, what kind of world would we live in if you were expected to work to pay for rent? Its just not fair. Next thing you know, grocery stores will start demanding payment before you walk out with the groceries!
The foreclosure rate is sad. People losing their homes is sad. I can guarantee that just saying "Bush is bad" is NOT going to fix it. Maybe, just perhaps, there might be some underlying problems that need to be solved? Nah, "Bush is bad". Now its fixed.
There was a story in the paper here yesterday about home foreclosures by Homeowner Associations. One couple lost their home for $580 in back association dues! After the attorneys get done, of course, the bill was much higher. Still, over $580 a family lost their home. You want to get mad about an injustice? Try that one. I'll back you all the way.
And just for informations sake, Bush was not even mentioned in the article. Even the displaced homeowners were mad at the association...not George Bush...damn.
