Clear cutting is not required, those folk growing the cannabis east of me haven't resorted to clear cutting because it grows in the shade too. Health problems from cannabis can be overcome by vaporizing. that should end the argument that all you do gooders throw up whenever cornered. There's not one good goddamn reason to keep cannabis as a schedule one drug. It has more suited to our needs uses than any other WEED on the planet. Go drink your beer now and get that fat gut bigger than it already is. And wake up in the morning with a hangover, a headache and the look of death in your eyes.

The increased demand for cannabis and greed for profit$ will lead to environmental pressures that poor foreign countries will not tolerate, it could lead to war. Obama has made this a keystone in his campaign for change.
Farmers will use deadly pesticides and fertilizers to increase their profit$.
Organic cannabis will increase the demand for clear-cut land to increase profits. Cannabis does increase food consumption for people with AIDS etc..., that's why it is used in medical treatment. Again, this is a burden on poorer countries that are starving now!
Beer/alcohol is also a selfish waste and an environmental burden on poorer countries. Booze consumption has a direct impact on poor starving children in Africa. It increases the cost of corn, barley, hops etc....
You also need to think about our grandchildren and what kind of environment they will have.
Everyone must pull their weight to fight global poverty and climate change.
This is the change Obama wants for Americans, that includes all Americans, not a select few.
