The news is a bunch of lies and distractions. You have to find the answers yourself.
Good Luck

As a man I feel the need to go to work everyday to take care of my family. The hardest thing I ever had to do was to retire due to a disability that came thru my work. I felt usless, ashamed and embarrest that I didn't have a job to go to anymore, It was hard to pay my bills, I didn't recieve much from my in line of duty disability from work and my insurance took half of that. I didn't make enough to pay my bills. We lived on money we had saved thru the years. This money was almost gone after 2 years. One day while on the way to my doctors appointment I was in and accident that almost took my life. I was in the hospital 25 days, in intensive care for 14 days on life support 11 days. I broke 19 Ribs and my left ankle, they removed my spleen, ruptured my liver and punctured my left lung. My heart stopped in the ER and during surgery, and everytime they tryed to take me off life support, and one day the doctor told my wife that they had to take me off no matter what happened that day my heart kept going. I sued the lady that hit me and my lawyer did a good job. I recieved a pretty good amount of money, enough money to keep paying my bills for another 2 years and one day I got a letter from Social Security telling me I had been approved after waiting more that 2 years. God has a funny way of taking care of us and he would never put you thru more than you can handle. Now my wife just found out she has breast cancer. Our life has been a journey the past 3 years but it has kept my mind off of work. We have been thinking about what matters the most in life the love of God and Family.

Welcome to AWE, Inspector. Sorry to hear of your woes, but it does bring one into focus as you've said. I got a brother diagnosed with a slow terminal cancer (GIST), He's in his mid 40's and it sucks beyond words. Keep the Faith.

I quit a few months ago
A lot of what helps is to change what you are doing when the urge hits you ...
I have a hard time drinking my morning coffee in the livingroom while watching the fish in the aquariums.
I got used to a cigarette hanging off my face while feeding the fish in all those tank ...
if anyone wants to buy a 56 gallon and a 210 gallon - let me know - I'm only keeping 7 tanks ...

19 ribs and an ankle? You deserved everything for not wearing your seat belt. Moron.
