No, Gary your show yourself to be short sighted about the reality of how any society that hopes to grow and prosper must work.

Having a bunch of uneducated kids grown into adults that are still uneducated is unproductive so collectively we all allow a portion of our taxes to fund education.

Having to ride a horse and buggy to town over bumpy roads seemed unproductive so we all allowed a portion of our collective money to go to build roads, bridges , infrastructure.

Having poor sanitation conditions lead to disease outbreaks so we all decided to allow our collective money to go to build sewer systems and water purification infrastructure .

Diseases like polio , measles were killing people by the millions so we all decided to use our collective money to try to figure out how to stop these illnesses.

We got worried at some point about Germany taking over the world and beefed up our military, it was collective money we used to do that.

All of the above examples are examples of a country who acts in a socialistic way for the good of its collective Citizens.

What some of you people seem to silly to comprehend is that for at least 20 years politicians have been feeding you guys lies that acting for the good of all citizens of the country is a bad thing. Trust me they are lying and they know it.

Capitalism with a touch of socialism for the moral , ethical good of society served this country well for a century and a half. Then along came some greedy politicians and starting feeding the kind of kool aid you have drank gary and are now regurgitating.
