Default Southwest Airlines The Worst

They have a pack-em and screw-em mentality. Now they also appear to be intentionally scoff-laws too.

Southwest is the largest in terms of number of passengers carried, ahead of American, Delta, and United. Third in terms of passenger miles in the US. Third in fleet size for US carriers:
1. American 653
2. Delta 578
3. Northwest, Southwest, 515 each
5. United 460
6. Continental 367
7. US Air 357

Is your definition of major carrier, "those who get the most government welfare aid and preferences"?

Can you clarify your little rhyme?

Chuckle... SW Airlines is a highly profitable non-union shop. Big target for bad publicity.

Bad publicity, how so? That Southwest made it's own?

I am suspicious. There is an established federal whistleblower procedure where the identities of the blowers are kept secret. Instead, we are reading about it on the CNN web site. By happenstance, there is a congressional inquiry...you do the math.

"It was obvious that Southwest Airlines wanted to cherry-pick the inspector for this inspection," Boutris told the committee.

"There is an ethics issue here," he added.

So why go the CNN media route? It is not like there are a bevy of SWA paid Congressmen protecting a valued donor and stiffling the normal whistleblower protection program. There is a rat in the room.
