Not the politicians, for sure. The people used to decide what Congress and State Legislatures got, and what they could spend it on. Which is why I would support any measure to bring up voting on expenditures over 100 million dollars.

Or any method to slow down the spending or put hurdles for Congress and the President in there uncontrolled spending.

A Government kept in check, as opposed to keeping it's people in check is what I would prefer. Remember Government becomes the enemy when it exerts control over even the most basic of activities.

We do not have Federal Government to control us. We have Federal Government to protect our life, liberty and property.

Police, Fireman and roads can and should be funded at the City, County, and State level. They also don't need to use Income or property taxes to fund it, either. They get enough money from Sales Taxes, and Fines.

What I find interesting is our govt. has so many hurdles and it is so complicated for them to get projects like Florida and Louisiana and Mississippi underway after how long now. Yet they have all the money they need to throw into other countries to build schools, hospitals etc. etc. etc. . Talk to me about the great need for all the taxes when our money is used for all this bullshit spending that has nothing to do with the people paying the taxes.

Exactly. Government wastes far, far far too much money for me to even consider relinquishing one more penny to either my Illinois Legislature or the Federal Un-Government.

Stop wasting it, and talk about taxes. Till then, I will support candidates that take more and more away tax sources from them. Cause, I really see no benefit to pay them, in all seriousness. Pot holes on the way to work, the fact I had to but bars on my window despite having a pampered and overpayed police department.

Asinine, give it back or stop wasting it, is all I got to say.
