Default Unemployment at 5%

Too bad... unlike Clinton, Bush will not be leaving the country with much more than recession in the making. Like father, like son....

Are you insane or stupid?

You apparently don't understand that under typical Keynesian economic models, an unemployment rate under 10% is virtually impossible and a rate under 5% is entirely impossible.

Do you have any idea how low an unemployment rate of 5%, which the US has been hovering at, or below, for upwards of a decade actually is?

In real terms, it's full employment. This is about as low as even modern economic models can count it...there has to be SOME unemployment...the ill, the infirm, the injured, the insane ...say, you don't have a job, do you?

A million out of a working-age population of what, 280 million?

Even if this were remotely accurate, that's not how employment/unemployment numbers are figured It's not, as the left-advocacy media has been claimng for years, based on who is on or off unemployment insurance, but rather is based on reportings from employers..who, by the way, don't report themselves; many independent contractors are not reported this way, either, so it's hardly 100% accurate, anyway.

These two non-reported categories would pretty much wipe out that 1 million. And in an economy with 5% unemployment, why can't these people you are talking about find work?

Rather than in a recession, like the one he inherited from Clinton?
