Are You as Stupid as Me?
After the horrifying wake-up call I got about GW Bush when he was fighting so hard to destroy America by permitting upwards of 100 million illegals to become "Americans," I started renouncing my 20+ years as a Republican and saying that I would never vote "R" again.
After som reflection, I realize how utterly stupid this is.
Despite the scamnesty (which was, don't kid yourself, barely defeated), now that I've calmed down a bit, I realize it is a pretty simple equation:
Any conservative American who believes he or she is "sending a message" by either not voting at all this election, or by voting for an "independent" candidate is, in essence, voting for whatever socialist the Democrats run.
If you are a conservative and you are as mad at Bush and the Rs in Congress for the scamnesty and other screwups (NAFTA, the Sea Treaty, trade deficit rising budget, growing government, et al.,--let's keep in mind that the war on our second biggest enemy, Islamofacism is going well) as I am, you are likely tempted to follow this course.
If you do, you are a moron.
Ask yourself this: despite the demonstrated, stunning ability of Rs to screw the pooch in just about every direction, would I be better off with socialists and communists in the White House and in with utter control of both Houses of Congress?
Well, punk...would you?
Of course not. But a vote for a no-chancer independent candidate--whether that's a Libertarian, or Prohibition Party...whatEVER--or just sitting at home on Election Day, a scowl on your face, your arms crossed angrily over your chest and refusing to vote to "send a message!" will send a message alright...that you are an utter fool.
Plan to vote. Hold your nose if you must, but vote and vote for anyone with an "R" behind his or her name.
This election is for keeps, folks. The very survival of your nation depends on your voting Republican, despite most of them having feet of clay.
Vote early, vote often (if you live in NOLA, Chicago, New Jersy or CA, anyhow) and vote REPUBLICAN!

Locally, I can afford to vote Independent...And I hope the Message starts making its way upstream to the Repubs...On a National level,,,? You're right T/C.
Although that means I'm limited to a very piss poor showing as a Repub "Representative"... But the alternative,,,a Socialist Lesbian, or a Muslim plant,,, The Dems provide such a pitiful alternative.

Locally...VERY locally, not even at the state level, sure, you can vote for the man, not the party and it may not make much difference. Of course, you run the risk of that person going on to state office, then possibly fed.
We have a guy like that here, rich boy, mommy and daddy's dot-com biz set him up with an enormous trust and he bought his way--literally, spent $1million on it--onto a board of ed. position only 6 years ago. Now he's a state legislator (care to guess which party?) and clearly aspires to national politics. Typical lib: never had a job in his life, now he is telling me how to run MY business.
It wouldn't matter if the Dems ran Jesus Christ Himself...if He is running as a Dem, party trumps person...he will do what his party demands of him, whether he is a state assemblyman or POTUS.

re: "Are You as Stupid as Me?"
No, I'm fairly certain that I'm not.
I find it interesting how you feel entitled to all the things that the Democrats have provided to you because such benefits serve to enrich us all, while you seek to not pay for the things that you feel benefit the others you wish to step on to gain a higher station in society.
You are clearly born after your time. If you had been born in 15th century England you would find a society much more to your liking, if your choice of parents were the right one. If you screwed up and picked the wrong parents, you would be wishing for some Democrats to come into existance to lift you out of the mire.

True. It's fairly certain from the above that your stupidity and raw ignorance surpass my own by quite a bit.
Interesting... you mention these things Democrats have "given" me.
Could you name them? Perhaps an enumerated list, if it's not too terribly long?
Or are you supposing that modern, American Democrats have some sort of ideological and/or moral kinship with to classical liberals?
So you are even more stupid and more ignorant than I had first supposed?

I will not vote Republican, unless Ron Paul gets the nomination.
I will vote for the Libertarian Candidate if Ron Paul does not get the Republican Nomination, or does not run as an independent or Libertarian Candidate.
I feel no remorse in my vote allowing Democrats to get the white house. I feel no remorse for my vote, if Democrats raise taxes and or increase spending, refuse to fix immigration, and continuously sign Globalist Sovereignty stealing pacts with Mexico and Canada. I will feel no remorse for my vote if Democrats expand the Federal Police Force branches like the FBI, DHS, ATF, and so on, at the expense of Civil Liberties and Gun Rights.
I will feel no remorse.
Why?
Because Republicans do the same.
I vote on principle alone. Not on popularity of the Two Main Parties.

Dear Stupid
If you think we are in trouble now. what do think would happen with the most dangerous woman in America at the helm.Even bigger government,
more free health care for illegals ,no fence at the border.giving up in Iraq
just so the dems can says we told you so.Remember It was Bill Clinton
who closed all our bases. And Hillary was the only one in the nation who didnt
know Bill was cheating.Which Makes her too stupid to be My President.
But I still question our Presidents Border Policy.there is Damage control and the lesser of evils.I am not looking forward to the fall of America

Well said satv
I cannot figure out why Americans for so long have voted party lines even if they are voting for a traitor who wants to merge us with Mexico .
Your stance is the one to take. Vote your conscious .
