It is going to get a lot, lot worse here in the US and some people are just too dumb to see that. For many when they are starving they will look around and say how this this happen? Idiots all the evidence is right here if you have a shred of common sense.
I sold my model home sales center in 2004. Saw this mess coming. I did good! Just last week the company that bought it stopped talking to me . Seems now they want to sue me , because they say I saw this housing down turn coming and should have warned them before they bought my sales center. Yeah right good luck with that lawsuit. I am to say the least not worried. US law still runs along buyer beware , it is not my fault they are idiots who could not read the economy for a year or two in the future.
Believe me its only going to get worse and I do not believe the American people are made out of the tough stuff it will take to correct the situation. So its good bye American economic super power. Really according to the US state department its good bye American super power anyway. The state department says soon China will be the world super power .
Petey would probably agree with me , that is what the power hungry elite had in mind all along , just most voting americans are unfortunately to dumb to realize that.

Wow...just...wow.
I cannot believe you ran a successful RE development company and are so utterly ignorant of how RE markets work.
Not sure that WV has ever had a "hot" market (I imagine that was the case in the 90s, though...seems I remember something about that)...I do know that my cousin in Altoona, PA, had been buying up "fixers" around a big med. center there and is now a wealthy man because of it....
If USA is so turrrrible, Peach, why not move? I understand they need people like you in Haiti, Uganda, Sudan, N. Korea...surely you've vacationed in some of these garden spots, yes?
What's the "evidenc," Peach? You allude to it, but cannot even identify it..I don't require a link--LIIIINNNKKKKKKK!!!!--I can look things up on my own, just send me in the right direction:
Employment? (up)
Wages? (up)
Cost of living? (down)
Energy prices? (up)
Retail sales? (up)
Wholesale pricing? (down)
Industrial orders? (up)
Real estate (up and down...anyone who knows anything about it knows how this works...apparently this precludes you).
Stock markets? (up overall)
Dollar? (down..but nowhere near as far down as in the 80s...and unless I missed the headlines, while things were tough in many segments, we saw nothing like the Great Depression).
You are just like the Y2kers, Peach. So invested right now in a collapse that no evidence to the contrary will change your mind. You've spent tens of thousands most likely, on LTSFs and white, food grade plastic buckets and alternate heat sources at "survival" conventions and what not that for you, things just HAVE to go south and go south big, or you will look to the Real World like as big a fool as a few of we, the rational, in here know you to be.
My in-laws got sucked into this TEOTWAWKI nonsense at Y2K. I am still making dog biscuits and horse treats out of these dozens and dozens of #10 (the really big ones--Peach knows about these) cans of all sorts of dried this and that that my idiot mother-in-law put she and her now disabled husband into bankruptsy buying. They felt that I was not "preparing" enough for TEOTWAWKI, and so they bought double everything...one for them, one for us...I have this crap stacked up to the ceiling in my garage. I can't even GIVE it away to food banks and homeless shelters now because most of it is known to have been packaged incorrectly and to be unfit for human consumption (I use the dried fruit, cream-of-wheat cereal and dry milk, howmsoever...I have enuff, I figure, so that I won't run out til about 2096).
This old lady, terrified of the changes she saw going on around her in society had an excuse, Peach...what's yours?
