Default I am confused: Please tell me how it works?

Can any lib in here, frothing at the mouth to see a socialist-controled Congress (both houses) and a socialist in the White House tell me something. Should be easy. Maybe you can Google it? Or Wiki it?

Can you show me where, anyplace or any time in history, that raising taxes has had a net result of improving an economy over the long run?

How about you telling me this Tokie.

How do you suppose the war will ever be paid for?

Do you think foreign governments will just go on lending us money forever?

Is that how you run your personal affairs ? Just keep borrowing?

Or do you operate on a budget , and stay within it?

Well tokie , since this war started we have went in debt as a nation to the tune of about a trillion dollars . In fact the last time I looked 12% of our tax money is now being used just to pay the interest on the national debt we owe to foreign countries.

So when you tell me how we are going to pay for this war , without paying for it with our taxes , I will consider answering your question.

Ummm . . . you didn't answer his question. He specifically asked for someone to answer that question and you failed.

Maybe before anyone should answer your questions you should answre them, but I know, I know, you don't normally do that - you usually just run away and hide. Keep it up Billy.

I don't normally do this, but I am going to answer this with a pair of questions:
1. How was the Cold War paid for?
2. Was the Cold War necessary?

Answers:

1. Lending: sure.

2. No. But I am not a government.

3. And I understand at least a little bit about macroeconomics. Unlike you, or you wouldn't ask such childish questions.

4. In real dollars, we were far more "in debt" during Reagan's brilliant defeat of the Soviets. Say....whatever happened to all that debt?

5. We will pay for it the way we always pay for wars: productivity.

Unless you libs manage to shut our economy down.

Now, you tell me: isn't that really your true goal?

LOL

It's okay.

He's a Playbook, doctrinaire lib. Have you ever known one who is able to answer questions, without simply throwing platitudes, bromides, slogans and screeds at them?

Yeah...me niether. Not for a very long time now, anyhow.

Billy make it, in my record, about a bazillion to zero now.

>>>Shit YES I can. GHWBush raised taxes after he got tired of Reagan's voodoo crap. Clinton followed suit. It took a bunch of years to flush all that voodoo, but we finally showed a surplus and began paying down on the debt. Interest rates fell and the economy took off like a rocket.

It is not the citizens who are shutting the economy down .

It appears our government has that job covered.
