Let me weigh in on this McCain debate. First of all (toxic), just because he was shot down and captured does NOT make him incompetent. We lost a lot of good pilots during the Korean and Vietnam wars. They did not fly at 30k feet...they flew much lower than that and were far more susceptible to anti-aircraft fire and SAMs. This was before JDAMs and LGBs (well, LGBs came in at the very end of Vietnam).

Now, how much expertise does McCain have regarding the ground situation in Iraq?? I don't know. It is generally true that Navy and Air Force vets do not have the operational experience of say a soldier or marine when it comes to ground combat. Of course, ground combat is one of the many functions of the US military. McCain has been in the Senate for a long time....and one can pick up expertise along the way. I'm not sure I agree with him on Iraq...but, that is a different debate.

Um yes they did. Colonist on colonist killing was quite brutal. There was a group for example called the 'partisans' (I think) they were very nasty to fellow colonists, as well as many others.
