Default The Supreme court

The Supreme court will hear arguments next week on whether the federal government should regulate carbon dioxide as a pollutant.

Shells President John Hoffmeister who believes in co2 emissions as causing global warming thinks we need a national program. We cannot deal with 50 different policies.

http://www.examiner.com/a-397478~She...ng_debate.html

Duke Energy John Stowell Vice President said carbon legislation should have already been passed. The are too many indicators of Co2 emissions causing severe world devastating climate change.

Exxon Mobil who has profited greatly by funding skeptics may end its multimillion dollar funding that will pay anyone to cast doubt on global warming. One small You Tube video spoof they did of Al Gore and global warming although seemingly harmless did not refute science but was meant simply to cast a cloud of doubt and ridicule. They are now pulling funding and looking quite foolish that other leading energy companies are facing the truth.
To see who works for Exxon Mobil read the first post of "Who is Philip Cooney"

This post was for those who like to know what is being heard on the Supreme Court and not to start a second global warming thread. "Who is Philip Cooney" has an active debate on Global Warming at this time.

This brings up a very good debate. Read the new article.

The handwriting on the greenhouse wall

Should the SC be making this sort of ruling or should the legislative branch do something? Should the companies (in article) be allowed to do this on thier own?

I think as the debate gets underway more information will come out. At first I was surprised that corporations preferred federal regulations but now I do see the econmonic validity to that argument.

I personally think the best way to do this is have a of each little happen so it is not so polarized; we are can look back and say the problem was solved the best way possible by working together.

CO2? It's essential to life. We breathe it out. Plants use it to live. This is the dumbest thing that I've ever heard.

It also creates a deadly layer that traps in heat... your kids are going to need a ton of sun screen.
