This really is a funny deal . In a country were majority rule . The majority can end up not ruling . Seems lame .

We do not live in a country of majority rule. We live in a representative republic. Who taught you that elections for president were majority rule? Have you read the Constitution lately. Try it. It is interesting.

I was taught in school that the electoral college was established so that the majority in the north could not abollish slavery. The south would not have ratified the constitution if they had not had the power to force minority rule on the country.
