Nothing more simple.
Whether this child is black is not the issue, the issue is abuse in a public education system.
The abuse is a double edged sword, and if you're an educator working in the inner city, prepare yourself to be challenged mentally and physically.
A friend of mine wanted to work with "troubled" kids in the inner city and she ended up on disability with a broken jaw other injuries.
So much for her career in the inner city eh?
If this child assaulted this particular teacher 4x before the child was disciplined then there are extenuating circumstances that are not publicized.
The 9 year old is going to be disciplined, but probably not in a way that will rehabilitate this childs real problems.
The teacher should be evaluated and the parents will reap the repurcussions if their child doesn't get the help needed.
This thread is moot, but we can thank jimmyjude for the drama and tasteless commentary..
good job skinhead.
Sounds like your friend could have used some military Combat Pay.

As others have stated, the report was extremely short; not much info. There may be more to this story.

Rob, as I pointed out early on in the thread there's really not enough information to know if the parents are in any way responsible for this situation. With so little information made available to the public the only people I could see who should definitely have to answer for anything are the school officials who allowed this to happen four times inside their school before overreacting and having him arrested. I know here the first act would have gotten him suspended for at least 3 days, the 2nd act would most likely have put him in a special program that deals with troubled kids and he would have been seeing a counselor on a routine basis. At the very least they should have pulled him out of that particular class and put him elsewhere after the 2nd incident since there was obviously some conflict between him and the teacher.

Okay.. I just watched the video and there's a bit more information on it than there is in the written article.

According to this report the student was a girl, not a boy and she apparently told the authorities that she attacked the teacher "because she was white".
