Viacom sues YouTube, wins big round.
The court will allow Viacom to obtain Google's complete log of all YouTube users, their IP addresses and their YouTube viewing history. Viacom wants to prove that its copyrighted material attracts more moths than the other stuff.

I highly doubt that they are obtaining all of this information just to prove that their copyrighted material gets more views.

Why do they need my IP address to see if I watched copyright material or not.
They don't need that.
They don't need to know where I live and who I buy internet from.
To see how many views their copyrighted material gets, LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF VIEWS!?
They want to snoop.
