Plural marriage, multiple men and women married to each other, on the other hand, does give both woman and men equal opportunity for marriage.
Polygomy and same sex marriage are two different issues as per the state. There is not a state that sancations polygomy.

The Unitarian church would be the only one (that I know of) which permits the sacrament for same sex couples across the board. As an Episcopalian I know CERTAIN Diocese in my faith allow this but other Episcopal Diocese forbid it, especially in the South.

Polygamy should totally be fine.

If faggots can marry then

a man and a dog

or

a woman and her horse

should be able to marry.

Homosexuals are disgusting.

and they spread aids.

Well, let me enlighten you. See Pew Forum: Religious Groups' Official Positions on Same-Sex Marriage

The number of churches/religions that support same sex marriage is much larger than you realize.

Unalienable rights cannot be voted away, no matter how big the majority.

June 17 is the date Calif. joins Mass.

Quote:
SAN FRANCISCO - California counties can issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples beginning June 17, the state said in a directive issued Wednesday.

The state Office of Vital Records said it chose June 17 because the state Supreme Court has until the close of business on June 16 to decide whether to grant a stay of its May 15 ruling legalizing gay marriage.

Default New York State to recognize same sex marriages.

Quote:
New York to recognize out-of-state gay marriage

NEW YORK - New York Gov. David Paterson has told state agencies to start recognizing gay marriages performed where the unions are legal.

Paterson spokeswoman Erin Duggan says the governor's legal counsel sent a memo to all the state's agencies telling them they could be violating state human rights law if they don't start recognizing the marriages.

The move is one of the strongest steps the state can take short of action by the Legislature.

The domino's are falling.

(we are in the California home of a couple in their forties who have been married for 20 years...)

JANE: Did you see the news today? The state Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage.

JOE: Really? Gays can marry legally now?

JANE: Yup.

JOE: Well, that's all I've been waiting for these 20 years. I want a divorce. I would never have married you at all if I could have married a man.

JANE: Yeah, well, I think I'm going to go marry a horse for all those years of no satisfaction from you, Mr. Needledick the Bug-Fucker!

JOE: But you can't marry a horse—it's not legal.

JANE: Not yet—but just you wait and see!
