Folks the signs of socialism are everywhere. Now the supreme court has ruled that a public enity can take private property under eminent domain then sell it to anothe private individual under the ruse of a benifit to society. Jefferson must be turning over in his grave.

a25052- Your numbers are correct. Democrats get voted in by Black voters who give them huge majorities in some of our cities.

The Democrats are the welfare party. They want to bind the minorities to them by giving them entitlement after entitlement. Where is the money to come from? Why, from the 50% who pay the taxes.

Anyone who thinks the Socialist model is the best need only to look at the disaster occurring in Socialist France. They have those extremely stupid laws which prevent employers from firing ANYONE unless an very time consuming and lengthy process is followed. This. of course, means that almost no one is fired.

Now, because of the very poor economy in France, a low Gross National Product and a very high unemployment rate, the Socialists decided that they would amend the law so that those under 26 years of age could be fired for cause. Those below 26 would not be "protected" like the above 26ers are.

Result- Riots Riots Riots

The French Socialists, stupid in their doctrinaire Socialism, decided, a few years ago, to cut down their work week for some workers to a 35 hour week.
The resulting lack of productivity made it impossible to leave the work week at that level.

Anyone who does not realize that in this new globalization the world is encountering completely obviates any leanings towards the most inefficient Socialistic practices is just asking for the kind of labor strife and economic paralysis that the French are now facing.

There can be capitalists countries that don't honor freedoms, such as the Germany in the 30's and 40's.

And there can be socialist-dominate countries that DO honor freedoms, like Sweden perhaps.

Excellent!! So the democratic party more accurately reflects the diversity of our country.... What's your point? Somehow I get the feeling that you think any vote other than white christian votes are an inconvenience in the electoral process. A vote is a vote is a vote. Did I miss something? Were there different colored ballots at the polls?

Personally, though it's tiresome, I invite these overaggressive defenders of Bush to continue with their juvenile name calling. Everything has to have a label doesn't it? And if you get to label it first, everyone else has to first work to remove the label before you can get to the issue at hand. Which serves those of us trying to discredit them a great service.

Simply put, it makes it very easy to dismiss comments from individuals that attack, insult and label. Call me whatever you like, I know who I am and I know what I believe. All you know of me is what I've written here.

All these ridiculous personal accusations being made on both sides as to whether someone is educated or not is inane. Some of the wisest people I have known in my life never made it past the 9th grade. I know gentlemen hillbillies that would run circles around most of the people (myself included) in this forum if you were to challenge them to a battle of wits. The reverse can be said of several highly educated people I know.

Can anyone tell me what is accomplished by this behavior? How does any of this get us any closer to fixing the problems that are facing this nation? Ohhhh, I get it... you view each other as the problem... I see.....
Well perhaps you should start seeing each other as the key to the solution. Put down the sticks and stones, the slings and arrows, mud pies and lets figure out how to get the laundry done!

Neither side has all the right answers, but together we can find some acceptable ones.
