Carson,

Quote: If it was anybody but the lawyer of the defendant I would agree, I don't think this lawyer was trying to do anything but get his client off the hook by whatever means necessary

Quote: no the purpose of court is justice

According to law and a jury of his peers, justice had already been served.
According to your logic, (Lawyers should use whatever means necessary to get their client off of the hook) no one would be punished for a crime.
Example, killing the witnesses, claiming racism to start race riots that would lead to the life of the Judge and/or Jurors being threatened etc.......
How far should this go?

Thats not my logic thats a fact, it is the defendant's lawyers job to try to defend their client and thats just crazy that you think a lawyer doing their job would mean nobody would be punished for a crime. Most defendant's lawyers do their job and obviously lots of people are still punished for their crimes.

Not of those things even come close to reality, it should go as far as his lawyer can take it, like I said before its his job. What would you rather have every defendant lose the right to make an appeal?
