You still sore that Gore lost the 2000 election due to one state? Tennessee is to blame. If Gore had been able to carry his home state he would have been president and would not have had to try to steal the election using the court system. As later recounts proved, Gore lost Florida. Gore lost Florida even though the liberal media declared Gore the winner when the polls in the heavily conservative panhandle were still open.

That was another lousy election were people had to choose the lesser of two evils. 2004 was even worse. Now this year is the worst yet.

I'm not talking winner looser at all. The courts took up something that was a state right. The justification given was that "why should the florida courts take up this issue when the constitution says it is up to legislature" This is foolish. Saying that assumes that there is no such thing as judicial rreview at all. Kennedy nearly quit and o'conner never got over her shame at it. Now it is a thing that is not discussed at all like a family tragedy. All I am talking about is Bush v gore. Which was not the original name of the case anyways. That was a publicity stunt.

Why shouldn't the Supreme Court had jurisdiction?

The florida legislature which you claim had jurisdiction had already named Bush the state winner.

The judicial activism that you claim to denounce occured in the Florida supreme court which granted Gore and his legal team the right to keep recounting votes, and making up rules in the local democratically controlled precincts about how to count chads, until they hopefully got a result they wanted.

The US supreme court merely upheld the law of Florida, the Florida legislature, the rules in place prior to the election, the Florida secrety of state certifying that Bush won the state and prevented the judicial activism of the Florida supreme courts in their attempts to change election rules and steal the election.
