Non-violent drug charges? So a drug dealer who sells crack or methamphetamine to a 12 year old kid should go free? After all he wasn't violent. Protesting a tax is not a crime. Refusing to pay a tax which is due is. If you reap the benefits of living in America, why should you not help pay the bill? If you disagree with where your tax dollars go, or how much you pay, address it through your congressional representative and senator, or your state reps for state taxes. If enough people agree with you, and your reps refuse to listen, you can replace them through elections.
Why should I pay rent on my property? Or pay part of my income to Government? To regressive forms of taxation. Of course you seem to be the type to accept authority as truth. So your not gona get far with me.

Yes, I would pardon all non-violent drug dealers. 12 years olds, rarely use meth. If they do, blame the parents. The truth is, the prohibition of drugs, creates the oppurtunity for it to be handed to the youths. Seeing as how drug dealers don't card kids to see if they are 18...

Keep trying, I still don't see any relevance to what you say.

I, too, am against property tax, even more than income tax. That being said, both are still the law for now, voted in by the duly elected representatives of the people. If it is the will of the people to change the law, they have that ability although most are too lazy or indifferent to exercise their rights. While you complained about these two taxes in particular, you said you would pardon ALL tax protesters and avoiders, not just for these taxes.

So if your kid goes to school, and on the way home gets conned by some scumbag into "sampling" his product and dies from a bad batch or an overdose, it's OK, the dealer should walk and you should go to prison for negligent homicide since it was your kid? That is basicly what you are saying (blame the parents). If you have kids, do you accompany them 24/7 to keep them out of trouble? Before you try the "if you raise them right" argument, it won't wash. I've seen too many kids "raised right" who still experimented once or twice.

Nor do I see any logic in what you say. To pardon all criminals who violated the will of the people, by breaking laws their duly elected representatives have enacted with the people's consent, is the height of arrogance and renders our legal system powerless to protect the citizenry. If this law can be neutered, just by one person's will, what other laws could a sitting president nullify by decree? If you are interested in a proper legal way for the citizens to negate bad law, research jury nullification, also called jury prerogative.
