You have my vote SN-except I am concerned that video of you dancing on the table with MIM a few weeks ago after the meeting might surface on YouTube and destroy any capture of the family values votes.

No. And if I don't I certainly won't defend them just because they are in the same party. Like make excuses for why they said they won't listen to a General speaking about the war - which was supposedly the biggest issue.

That's OK, Sam....I wasn't counting on those votes anyway...that would indeed be a travesty. I'm far more worried about the video with MIM (and her hairy armpits) and what it would do to my reputation as a chick magnet....

Dems Discredit the Troop Surge Report Before It Appears -- 08/17/2007

Don't know about this source as I haven't really heard of it before, but I am sure the same stuff can be found elsewhere.

"A con job in the making?" Doesn't sound like Pelosi is going in with a real open mind now does it?

I am not defending him-just calling it like it is-there were not multitudes of Dems refusing to go to meetings or any complete refusal on Reids parts about Petraeus (just a poor answer on Reids part to a specific question) the information I found shows they are all attending and will spend several weeks in hearings considering all the information. Did you find any links that show otherwise? If so I would like to know-that would be pretty bad if any are boycotting meetings or not considering the Petraeus report in those several weeks of hearings in September.I like Petraus-he is a sharp guy-I hope we get news on the briefings.

We all understood you had a few beers and were trying to make amends for some of those AWE debates you had with MIM.

I haven't linked them because they have mostly come from places like Newsmax and FreeRepublic. Although for some reason most of the lefty's feel that the DailyKos and CommonDreams is acceptable, I won't use a heavily partisan source even if I think they are reliable. I was referring to the April meeting, not the one that hasn't happened.

What do you think of the LA Times reporting of Pelosi's "con job" comment? Did they misquote her? They are obviously left wing. Doesn't sound like Pelosi is really going to give Petraeus much of a chance. I just reviewed some earlier threads about this very toic when it came up in April. I saw three separate posters from the left say it was good that they weren't listening. I think that when Pelosi basically says that Petraeus is a liar before hearing what he has to say (what else could con job mean?), she is speaking to the Democratic base.

I asked this question of IHNR but never got an answer (big surprise there!). Who is the Surrendercratic Party's base? Is there a Democratic Party trying to excape from the Surrendercratic Party?

I think the original post sums up the Democratic base's views on Petraeus. If he says something they want to hear he is telling the truth. If not, then he is reading from a script.

I haven't seen many examples of the moderates trying to distance themselves from those that rely upon the DailyKos for their news.

No worries, just ascribe that to drunken/youthful indiscretion....
