Exhaustion and Age

We visited some friends in IL this weekend. The friends are younger than me. The female is 25 and the male is 30. I will be 38 this summer..........by the way, I'm o.k. with that. I've learned to embrace my inner cougar. 
The issue is with the whooping it up. The younger folks can slam down the drinks (as I suppose I was able to do in my 20s). I can consume some drinks as well, but my problem occurs with the sleep deprivation that follows. I can no longer pass out into a lovely coma-like state. Nope, now I lay wide awake wondering how the hell anyone can sleep on a futon. I also ponder several extra trips to the potty, and if I should bumble my way in the dark to get a glass of ice water and some ibuprofen.
Gone are the days of reckless abandon, and the ability to sleep on any hard surface.
Now I am fantasizing about my pillow top mattress and electric blanket.
I'm going to bed early tonight.
