What would you say to the idea of someone telling you that you had to kill your children in utero?
You say this cat was pregnant when you got her, which means she didn’t come from any shelter. So what in Hell makes you think this cat needed you? How do you know she wouldn’t have been better off on the streets?
And just what made you spend the money to have this cat X-rayed if you were unwilling to deal with the expense of letting her have her kittens?

That's very true! And she was living on the streets begging for food when we found her. She was homeless.
So...while I do feel like I fullfilled some of my liberal goals taking her in, I also feel like I deprived her of the right to Motherhood.
But you're right...she was probably gang raped!

WAY TOO MANY MUTTS IN THIS WORLD ANYWAY... cull the puppies they dont stand much of a chance anyway... and if its any kind of working breed do the world a favor and kill the fuckers your self.... thats all we need is working mutts that are breed like shit and unstable if they have short hair and a whip like tail with a muscular body then they bite someone and the media goes wild about A PITT BULL THAT BIT SOME KID AHHHH thats just how ignorant things like BSL happen. so in my opinion cull them for sure regardless of breed....... JMHO..

So you agree that a baby’s father has a right to not have the choice of whether or not he will be a father made by the woman that let him impregnate her? Under the law it’s not a man’s choice when his child in killed in utero, so if you don’t like the idea of having someone else make your decisions, I gather that you don’t think it right for a pregnant woman to make the father’s decisions for him.

The expense was a non-issue...it was a practical decision why we aborted her pregnancy. Sheer selfishness actually. We didn't want to deal with 4 cats when we were only adopting one. Also I had another cat at the house already, so that would have put me up to having five indoor cats. A little taxing to attend too...more than we bargained for.
No cat is better off on the streets. We found her in the parking lot of a ribs restaurant and she was begging for food. That tells me she was struggling to survive.
What would I say to someone telling me I had to kill my babies in utero? I'd tell them it's not their decision to make. Thus my guilt. However cats can't speak...so communication was a bit difficult.

Jan , I lived on a ranch for years and it ain't a big deal . Kind of nasty actually , ya never know where they are going to domino . We had this barn cat that could not be caught . She was an unusual breed of manx and my wife would not let me deal with her (trank darts only) so she had countless litters and my wife had NO problem giving them away . She liked doing it (the cat too evidently) so this went on a while . Finally the old ho died and we still have two of her offspring . Even though she was a pain in the ass I liked her , she would bring me dead rabbits completely gutted ready to eat ...ugh and leave them on my neatly rolled welding cable where I would find it ......two days later . If you have an unusual cat they are easy to get rid of , if you have a plain or downright ugly cat , they are hard to get rid of . ps .Those cats were sired by tomcats that I usually had to shoot because buttholes would drop them of so the "nice ranchers could feed them" . This is an impossible task so I killed em with a shotgun . Pretty bad huh ? Please never ever fail to spay or neuter your cats . Dogs can be controlled . (shhhh ya gotta get em laid every now and then .) Only for the pups if they are wanted .

Preferably, I think it should be a joint decision. However, it's the woman's body and ultimately it's her call. The guy had a call to make when he chose to sleep with the gal knowing the potential consequences of his actions.

Here's the thing...I never feel guilty about spaying or neutering a pet...they weren't pregnant, so it's preventative. With this cat she was already fertilized, ya know?
Lucy was a calico...she was very beautiful. I probably could have gotten rid of those kittens very easily. But your right, seeing as she was an indoor cat, I had visions of her having the kittens on my upholstered couch or worse, my bed. Or perhaps on the carpet. That could have gotten quite pricey to deal with.
