I have always found it odd that the same people who are anti abortion are also usually anti sex education. Seems counterproductive. Some of those same people are also anti social welfare. So I guess their real goal is a miserable life for every fetus. Since so many of them also tend to be ultra conservative 'christians', maybe it makes sense. The more miserable you are in this life, the more you need their God and the promise of heaven.

Abstinence is a perfect method of birth control... until it fails, then it's none at all. A condom may fail a certain percentage of the time but you are still protected over 90% of the time when you're using them right. The pill is also effective a high percentage of the time when you know how to use it right and when you know when not to rely on it (like when you are also taking antibiotics). When abstinence fails and no one has taught you anything about any other birth control methods, you have ZERO protection from not only unwanted pregnancy but also from aids.

It's just irresponsible to teach abstinence only.

In my daughter's previous school they taught it in 5th grade. I gladly signed the waiver so she could attend the class. We have always had an open relationship about sex. I think that is the key. Communication, education, and Abstinence. Think about it, were you really ready when you lost your virginity for the emotional committment. I know I wasn't.

There the key right there. It all starts with the family. I was always open with my parents and will teach my own children to do the same. The best form of birth control was when my dad laid it all out and told me the exact results and the responsibility of screwing up and having to pay the price. Weve got to many people today that have children just for the "check" and thats not a lower class pun or anything like that it happens in every town every day to all kinds of races and classes. Another system that is a joke is Foster care. there are good foster homes out there but the potential is there for a couple to get involved with foster care for the money. But thats another post all together.

Here is a abortion prevention .... ADOPTION, if you are not ready or raped or what ever... There are thousands of couples who can not have children that are patiently waiting to love a child that needs a home. It is no surprise that we are in the shape that we are in, no ones cares about the children anymore, the principles of family are lost for the most part, people view marriage as if they were dating .. get sick of them just divorce find some one else, it is harder to get a passport than it is to divorce. Single parent families are overwhelming, the lack of dicipline is overwhelming. We live like animals with out an ounce of the moral fiber we use to have and as a result our society is paying for it

Yeah thats what im talking bout right there. It fuckin burns me up to see even "normal" families where the children run all over the parents. Oh hes just a little hyper, go to timeout little johnny. Bull fuckin shit, next thing you know that kid grows up experimenting with every drug known to man and screwing everything with legs, and some things that dont. Borderline retarded and brain dead from all the drugs. What a life. All because some parents didnt have the balls to spank their kids.

I have yet to get a real answer to a simple question on abortion. If the right wing nuts truly believe that some god created the earth and all that it contains and that god created nature as we know it then he would be the biggest abortionist ever if he exists. Millions of fertalized eggs (remember that you consider any fertalized egg a child) are flushed out of womens systems monthly by nature in menstration and also miscarriages are abortions by any definition of the word. YOUR god created abortions, simple as that.

Abstinence is an individual choice...not a program..and those abstinence only programs have failed.
