a clause that protects a woman's right to choose put into this bill would have gained it more support.

I am pro-choice, but I do not support the idea of late term abortion, not would I support murder after birth... It's just fucking sick.

I am pro choice but it shouldn't be used as birth control. Late term abortions is clear murder and the law needs to relfict that.

the only issue is when health is involved.

rather its a ill fetus or a sick/dying woman. I think the issue gets a bit difficult there.

could that be considered an act of mercy to not have someone with a disabilty forced to live with the extra hardships

I suppose you could debate the moral issues of:

is it a lazy attitude toward parenting
or
is it wanting to not subject a child to a unhealthy life

or maybe a mix of both - knowing you can't parent well for a special needs child and knowing that they will probably never be taken in and cared well for by someone else.

My nephew is Autistic.... He, I am sure, is glad to be alive.... People who are labeled "retarded" don't see themselves, as you or any "normal" person would see them.

As for the rest, why not give the baby up for adoption? I mean, if there is no emotional attachment to 'it'....
