In fact, in the very first post I said I didn't subscribe to the theory.

The theory was based on what the way various statistics were compiled. As far as predicting a tendency to commit criminal acts, statistics would he helpful for an entire group of people but not for individual people The fact is that the poor and minorities are, percentage wise, committing more crime. No point in being both politically correct and false by stating otherwise.

both being a victim and being a criminal is not a random event. any criminology class will say so.
is the theory universal? no
is it fairly accurate? yes

even apart from being poor, if a woman doesn't want a child and keeps it she very well might neglect or mistreat him/her.
and before you even say it- fostercare can be very harmful and it often produces adults who are ill-prepared for life. most children put up for adoption are never adopted. they stay in the system until they age out.
