By "biblical" I assume you mean ancient times, but you are correct.
The idea that "life begins at conception" is largely biblically motivated in contemporary times.
And since laws cannot be made based on religious doctrine in the US, anti-abortion laws are simply unConstitutional unless someone can actually prove the point at which "life begins".
My personal measurement is when a fetus can surivive outside of the womb.
