Default "Morning After Pill"

The FDA cleared the morning after birth control pill for over-the-counter sale to women over 18. I would hope mothers would buy it for their younger daughters as well. This must piss off the Christian Taliban to no end! The drug stores will probably get a lot of pro-life pickets, but I would hope they would throw them out like the rest of their trash.

How about teaching our young men keep their pants on and there will not be any problems.

Rob, yep, AGAIN agree with ya 110%. I feel the same way about the morning after pill as I do abortion, on in the case of rape or incest. Oh..by the way..let's go get all of our 11 year old daughter or grand daughter innoculated with the new cervical cancer vaccination. Parents need to become parents again.

First, why not try:
1. not having sex,
2. regular contraceptive pills, then
3. adoption,
4. the morning after pill as an absolute last resort.

If a child is raised properly, she will not want to screw boys as a young girl.

But, when parents let their daughters act older as young teens by wearing shirts that say, "Hottie", let them dress and act like easy pieces of meat, let them hang out unsupervised, let them listen to music that promotes sex, drugs and general sleaziness, what do you expect?

Also, why should pro-life picketers be treated any different than pro-abortion picketers? They all have a right to their opinions.

Well put, but then that would mean that parents would have to have parents, not friends and maybe take time to raise their children.

Actually, it will not cause any ripples. It does not cause an abortion if taken within up to 72 hours after intercourse, although the faster the better. 72 hours is pushing it pretty hard.

It isn't 100% effective.

It won't be hard for an under 18 to get it. She will just ask a friend if she can't ask her mother.

There won't be any pickets. You are hoping for that and will be disappointed.

Yeah! There is a downside to everything.

It is funny though. I am one of the strictest fathers compared to my kid's friend's parents. My daughters have both commented to me that their friends have said that they wish their parents were more like my wife and I. Kids want boundaries.

I think they were designed as a last resort drug, not to be taken like Tic- Tack's. I know what result will be though.
