There is no "technicality" about it. They absolutely are not part of their mother's body. You don't become a part of a thing simply because you are inside of that thing or dependent upon that thing.

I work towards changing laws that I don't like but aside from this one, no one is being denied a basic human right so they are not my priority.

I don't go about imagining that I don't live by someone else's rules. I am, and always have been perfectly aware that I don't get to make the rules and came to terms with it a very long time ago.
