Wolf, I have already provided you multiple links that show without a doubt that frontal lobes have no part in either feeling or discriminating pain. Your denal of the facts does not change the facts.

It is true that since the child has no frontal lobes, he or she has no way to consider the pain or have an emotional reaction to the pain. The child simply feels mindless agony.

you need your frontal lobes to process and be aware of pain. I have had this fact confirmed in my psyc classes and even once in a philosophy class. The phil class specificly brought up that fetus can't feel pain until week 14.

Wolf, do you even understand what you just posted? Why did I ask that? If you posted it in an attempt to prove that the frontal lobes are needed to feel pain, then clearly you don't know what it means.

Which part of that statement do you think means that the frontal lobes are necessary to percieve pain? Is it the word perception? Do you know that perception has nothing to do with pain. Sensation would relate to pain, not perception. Perception relates to insight and intuition. Impulses also have nothing to do with pain. Impulse refers to taking action based on a particular mental state which is a function of the frontal lobes.

I am sorry wolf, but there is simply nothing there that suggests that the frontal lobes are needed to feel pain. The frontal lobes would be needed to have thoughts or emotional responses to the pain, but they are not necessary to feel the pain and you should have been able to see that in the very material you posted.


Did you note that in the wikipedia article you gave me, there was not one mention of the frontal lobes. And there were no positive statements. There were a lot of mights, and maybes, The very best you could get out of that is that no one is sure and if no one can say for sure, by what logic are you willing to take that sort of chance?

By the way psychology and philosophy are not the classes in which to ask about fetal pain. If you really want to know, go and talk to a neurology or a physiology professor. Asking a psych or philosophy professor about neurology is like asking a carpenter about rocket engines.

What an accusation, to ASSume I'm an athiest? I have read the bible, my kids have read the bible. My daughters have both gone to Sunday school and understand about Jesus and God. They also know about the Jewish religion and the Buddhist faith as well. I am not partial to one religion, and I have been exposed to all. Anything they want as far as religion goes - I would not deny them. They are their own human beings. They will have to answer to a God one day - I prefer they be educated about all of them. NO MAN knows what God is. All man knows is what he has been told by other men. Oh, yaeh - let me trust that source.

I believe faith is very personal, it is not to be governed or to be decided by someone else. It is a personal choice, for all I know one of my daughters might want to catholic and the other Jewish - I could care less. I care more about what people DO, not what they say. And for the record, I curse at those that deserve cussing at - certainly not my children. Thank God my kids can't hear you type. You weak suffering wuss. My daughters are strong girls, who will grow to be strong women. They shouldn't be exposed to weak little men.
