Interesting story. Considering the fact that we give Israel financial support, it seems to me Israel sort of plays the same role as a defense contractor. Congress gives them Taxpayer money, they spend it to some extent on buying weapons from us(employing Americans) and lobbying Congress. Helps to keep the entrenched, somewhat pro-Israel Congress in power.
I agree with this articles sentiment. If we can't put the lid on these(see article) groups influence there should be an equivalent but opposite group created for the Palestinean(Arab) side that works to financially balance this influence on our Congressional members.
To be frank. I am for public funded, limited expenditure, election campaigns. But since our greedy - entrenched - controlling interest beaurocracy is against that position(read: money == free speech ) I would prefer a group with equal and opposite sentiment to neutralize this effect.
IMO, this is the heart of our terrorism problem.
