You don't know Chinese history very well George. the increase in capitalism lead to the increase in the economic condition of China, its still controlled and I am not saying China is a capitalistic country, far from it, but its move to capitalism has lead to an increase in income for the average Chinese citizen

We can do this cart/horse thang all day long, but China has a tightly controlled economy, and it's still outperforming ours. On the other hand, anything goes in Mexico - except for that 95% of the population that has no capital. I'm not denying that capitalism works very well given the right conditions. But the right conditions just aren't there for most of the world.
