Open debate is going on in this thread and thousands of studies across the world. In an acidemic environment it is discussed thousands of times a day.
The place for open debate is in open forums and other non controled situations. That does not mean it should thrust into our schools on elimentary levels or high school. Church and religious settings choose not to teach evolution in bible school, and that is their privelage.
Spiritual belief in any of its many forms is best left within the homes and not forced into the public educational system, which uses imperical testing for the basis of teaching the adaptations and mutational changes that survival favors in suceeding generations.
In the animal world mutations that tend to disfavor sucessful passing of trates within animals and plants that are not as efficient as those before them donot continue .
Only in mankind has such disfavored changes been catored too for their survival. Nature is not so kind, or is it?
