I'm no home loan expert but I do know that marginal loan risks could get loans by paying points, which is a mistake. The lenders paid the price for this scheme by having loan defaults. This is nothing new.
If you are a lender, you must maximize profits. You call that greed and home buyers call it a great opportunity to own a home.
You must be "The glass is half empty" type of person.
