Momma, I'm gonna head over to the casino for a bit but let me leave you with a thought or three...
I just heard Bush speak on this...
He said this problem has been mounting over the last couple of decades and he is now blaming a Democratic Congress...
Ask yourself why didn't the Republicans do something about it when they had control?
He mentioned that the majority of our oil was imported and then a bit later he mentioned that we had enough oil that we could meet our needs at our current rate of our production for 10 years...think about that.
Also, after a bit Realist1 will likely come along and bring up the trillion or so barrels of oil shale that we have, just as Bush did...funny part on that was that Bush said it was recoverable and then stopped and added "if" it is recoverable...that's a big if.
After Realist1 comes along and once again makes his claims I will once again provide the conclusions of a study regarding the development of the insitu process that would be needed to recover that kerogen...a study that concludes that we "might" be able to have it in full production by 2030 IF everything works out according to "hopes".
Have a good day.
p.s. This issue is political posturing which I wouldn't mind so much if it would yield us a good fiscally Conservative President to offset a rather Liberal Congress...but it can't this election season.
