I think that people just need to be led and don't ask a lot of questions. People like Jesse Jackson have made a very comfortable living over the years by labeling people into this and that category that they just believe it because a) Jesse said it. It must be true and b) Again, they are just so numb. You aren't the first conservative black individual I've come across (though you are one of the few). However, I have been told horror stories about reactions from within their own communities when they've spoken out. Michael Steele also went through the same nonsense as has Colin Powell, Ms. Rice, Clarence Thomas, J.C. Watts and even Bill Cosby (who I do not believe is conservative).

Liberalism is more about what feels good as opposed to what is. It's the difference between Idealism and realism.
