The Chinese, for how much we critisize them, realize they need to become a more Western aligned nation in order to prosper. NK in no way reflects the concerns and goals of China; all Communist philosophy is not alike. Yep, I would also fathom that the Chinese are anticipating there will be a large influx of Koreans coming North to flee from the complete idiots running NK. Think about it, would you want to stay in NK and starve when the countries to the NORTH and SOUTH are doing fine, prospering economically, and really are not going to attack you.
