Look at the price of oil. It reflects the knowledge of the experts.

IF oil could be produced from all the places the conservative propagandists and penny stock promoters claim in their rehashed stories republished endlessly, then surely at least one smart guy with knowledge of how to profit from it would meet up with one smart guy with cash and they would be reaping billions in profits producing oil from those rich oil fields.

Jimmy Carter was president when the last major effort by global oil companies was made, with government funded corporate welfare to help out, to turn those vast oil fields into low cost oil so the US would become energy independent.

My guess is that when the oil engineers were laid off by the US oil giants in the 80s and 90s, the first ones targeted were those pushing oil production from such vast resources as the US oil shales.
