What do you think of having an internationally-recognized nation of Palestine? Let's say, if the UN gave recognition to Fatah as the ruling party (Hamas, unlike Fatah, is considered a terrorist group and would probably be considered illegitimate) and gave Palestine a seat in the General Assembly. Would this be a positive step forward in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Or would this reward terrorism on the part of the Palestinians and encourage future attacks against Israel/its allies? Is Fatah democratic enough to be accepted by the West (it is not Islamist, nor recognized as a terrorist group, two things which cannot be said about Hamas) and stable enough to keep control from Islamist terrorists? And finally, what consequences would such a solution have?
P.S.: to quote the Dead Kennedys, "Nazi punks, fuck off".
