Here's a little education for you, the United States fulfilled its promise of independence to the Phillipines almost immediately following the conclusion of the 2nd World War. We then proceeded to evacuate our only military base in the area only a couple years later. The only soldiers currently in the Phillipines are a few special forces guys who only recently helped the Phillipine government put down a terrorist organization located in the southern islands of the Phillipine nation. We came back to the Phillipines only at the Phillipine governments request.
