So we've pretty much nailed down what it takes to become an American citizen... We really need to do some looking around to see when and how they qualify for federal and state benefits. I think there is a problem with some of them acquiring fake credentials though (SS cards etc.) Social security cards are far too easy to fake. There really isn't much difference between the card my father has and mine. These cards should be of a credit card type with a magnetic strip on the back with the holders personal info and a security code.

I really would like to see the productive Mexicans stay. I don't see any harm in that, in fact I firmly believe it would be a benefit to us all.

So how do we weed out the bad ones? How do we tighten up the regs on how many family members can follow. I think it should be relegated to immediate family only. (Spouses and unmarried children under 18) All others should be required file for their own visas.

I think it's pretty much general consensus that there should be stiff penalties for any employer hiring an illegal in the united states. That seems a pretty common sense step. Perhaps another step might be to encourage businesses looking to build factories in Asia to invest in an economic zone in Mexico that runs the entire length of the border. A buffer zone of employment between us and them.

Just a thought.
