They might belong to a political party, but even during an election most of them don't even vote. Do you really think they would do anymore than ignore Washington, for a considerable period of time.

The only people a dictator would need worry about, initially, are those in close proximity to DC, and most of them are liberals who would support a Socialist Dictator anyway.
