[quote=Back Atcha;428092]First, let me say that I am woefully unqualified to comment on this, as I don't watch/read mainstream media, and only have a vague idea of who these characters are. So I will leave it to the better informed to let me know if I am off base or not.
From what I've gathered about what has been said so far, I think I kind of understand where this schmuck is coming from. It appears that there is a significant number of high profile folks in the Christian fundie zone that are cheering for the second coming of Christ, Armageddon and the like. For them, any move toward fulfilling this prophecy is a good thing. Bring on the wars, rumors of wars, disease, famines and the like.
I think this Hagee fella thought what he was saying was a positive, and surely won't understand any backlash that may come about from this story. From his view, running the Jewish people out of Europe was a necessary step in fulfilling a divine prophecy.
There are more than a few that share this philosophy in the White House, whether they are actually religious or not. Even if they aren't, it's a mighty fine justification for waging questionable wars.

Yeah, let us know when you get one.
