Take into account their age, not happening!!! As for most other parents, I can't speak for them.... So you chose, during this time of high gas prices, to waste even more gas. You are a classic example of the American I have been discussing with Mulp. You will continue to buy just as much gas, regardless of the cost. Before you demand frugality from the police, practice it yourself.
Did you ever think there is a reason to leave the police cars running. It's the portable communications equipment they carry. So many times it won't work off the cars battery alone, especially for more than a few minutes.
